Leather Covers for Apica CD Notebooks

Apica CD Notebook Covers in Leather

A leather cover protects the corners of a CD notebook without changing how it writes, because the notebook itself is not touched. The elastic goes through the middle spread, the CD's own cover stays on, and when the notebook fills it comes off the band and the next one goes on. Open the CD at its center, slide it under the band, close it: that is the whole fitting.

CD-10, CD-11 and CD-15

• Apica CD-10 — 4.1" × 5.8" (10.5 × 14.8 cm), A6: A6 covers, 4.5" × 6.7" (11.4 × 17 cm) closed.
• Apica CD-11 — 5.8" × 8.3" (14.8 × 21 cm), A5: A5 covers, 6.3" × 9.1" (16.0 × 23 cm) closed.
• Apica CD-15 — 7" × 9.9" (17.9 × 25.2 cm), semi-B5: B5 covers, 7.5" × 10.6" (19.0 × 27 cm) closed, with room.

Apica makes other CD numbers. If yours is not on this list, measure it and compare it with the three above before ordering.

Semi-B5 Is the Size to Know

The CD-15 is a semi-B5, the Japanese school size at 7" × 9.9" (17.9 × 25.2 cm). It is smaller than JIS B5 and larger than ISO B5, and our B5 cover takes all three. Kokuyo Campus and Muji B5 notebooks are the same semi-B5, so one cover takes any of them.

Filling the Other Bands

A CD notebook takes one elastic. On a three-band cover the other two can carry our paper refills in A6, A5 or B5, a leather insert with a zip, or a second CD. A pen case keeps a pen with the set, and a bookmark clip marks the page.

Picking a Model

Most of our covers have three elastic bands. Five-band models, the Gabriel and Meloria, suit a full system of notebooks; the Brielle has two and stays slim. Shape is the other choice: a bifold is two panels and a spine, while a trifold adds a flap over the front that holds cards. If you only ever carry one CD-11, a two- or three-band bifold is the lightest way to do it.

Colors and Personalization

Covers come in six full-grain Crazy Horse leathers: Black Onyx, Chestnut, Forest Green, Bordeaux, Cognac and Caramel. The wax finish goes lighter where the cover bends and darker where it is handled. A name or initials can be personalized onto the front before you check out, and the leather journal covers hub has the full range.
